Fashion and Textile Museum

London

We designed the interior refurbishment of the Fashion and Textile Museum in London. The building was originally designed by the architect Ricardo Legorreta for the designer Dame Zandra Rhodes.

As well as the two floors of refurbished flexible display space we inserted a number of glass display cases along the circulation route. The reception, WCs, lift and circulation areas were all improved. We added an education centre and a conference room. These contained the museum’s permanent display of dresses designed by the founder Zandra Rhodes.

A new museum shop was created with a museum café. We improved access to the building and designed the wayfinding signage. As a part of the project we improved security and access control; lighting and building services.
